Nuheara Limited (ASX: NUH) (“Company” or “Nuheara”), transforming the way people hear by creating game-changing hearing solutions that are accessible and affordable, is pleased to announce that the world’s largest multi-channel consumer electronics retailer, Best Buy (NYSE:BBY), has selected IQbuds BOOST™ to be stocked in their newly developed Senior Technology / Assured Living category.

IQbuds BOOST™ was selected from a group of products because of its hearing health benefits that address the 30+ million people in the USA who have mild to moderate hearing loss.

With more than 1,500 stores, Best Buy will initially launch the in-store Senior Technology category with 600 units of BOOST into 15 targeted stores from June 11, 2018, with a view to expansion through 2018.

Commenting on Nuheara’s inclusion in this innovative initiative, Nuheara CEO, Justin Miller, said: “This is excellent recognition and support by Best Buy of Nuheara’s place in the hearing health market – and also a significant development for hearing healthcare worldwide. In recent years, we have seen a consolidation of hearing solution retailers expand from dedicated hearing clinics to include big box retailers, pharmacies, optical dispensers and now consumer electronics retailers.”

“With BOOST featuring a clinically validated hearing assessment, coupled with a hearing aid prescription formula for automatic configuration, it now allows for retailers such as Best Buy to offer an accessible and affordable hearing healthcare solution that the consumer can set up in the comfort of their home.

“We expect to see significant market openings in the hearing healthcare space in the US market with the passing Over-the-Counter (OTC) Hearing Aid Act of 2017.

“We are delighted that our relationship with Best Buy has now extended to support their rapidly expanding Senior Technology category and that they have recognised the value of our game changing hearing bud solutions.”
