My name is Daisy. I am a jazz singer. I don’t hear out of my left ear anymore. The hearing loss was the result of an illness I had as a baby. It doesn’t affect my ability to sing but if I’m not hearing people right, things get lost.

I’m not exactly sure what the overload symptoms that I get are caused by. In loud environments I can just feel like there’s so much sound going on. That can make it really difficult to distinguish what people are saying, it’s just like noise. You end up feeling kind of socially isolated. It’s only recently that I realized that there’s actually something you can do about it.

The first time I put the buds in, I stopped hearing the hum of the air conditioner. Just having that go away I was like, ahh! The IQbuds really cut all of that external noise out.

Makes you actually able to just focus on the person you’re with. The other night I was just able to have long conversations with people, stayed there longer than I normally would have because I wasn’t so tired. Before the buds I was struggling without knowing how much I was struggling. It makes such a difference to my life to be able to just have that relief, and do everyday life things. That’s what’s been the real big difference for me.
