Nuheara Limited (ASX: NUH) (“Company” or “Nuheara”), transforming the way people hear by creating game-changing hearing solutions that are accessible and affordable, is pleased to announce that IQbuds BOOST™ has successfully been placed on the NHS Scotland hearing contract (which also incorporates the Northern Ireland region) under the Hearables category, Lot 5 – Hearable and Wearable.
Under the NHS Scotland Framework, the Hearables category specifically caters for devices that are primarily intended to allow streaming of media to the device but that also offer a hearing enhancing function not dissimilar to a hearing aid.
IQbuds BOOST™ are immediately available under the framework and will be supplied and supported under the contract via Nuheara’s UK distributor Puretone.
There are 14 NHS Health Boards within NHS Scotland and also incorporates the Healthcare Trust’s with NHS Northern Ireland.
In relation to the English NHS categorisation process of IQbuds BOOST™, the matter is still in discussion and Nuheara will provide an update when it is able. For reference, unlike the Scottish NHS contract, there is currently no Hearables Category within the English NHS contract.
