Key highlights:

  • Nuheara appointed as an Accredited Service Provider to Australian Government Hearing Services Program (HSP)
  • Nuheara will deliver online audiological services via a scalable telehealth platform to any qualified HSP voucher holder
  • Service accreditation complements Nuheara’s long held HSP status as a manufacturer of approved products, with IQbuds2 MAX currently on the device schedule
  • Accredited Service Provider status now allows Nuheara to bypass third party audiologists and dispense product directly to voucher holders
  • Product and services dispensed to voucher holders under the program, are rebated directly to Nuheara by the Australian Government

Nuheara Limited (ASX: NUH) (Company or Nuheara), transforming the way people hear by creating smart and affordable hearing solutions, is pleased to announce it is now registered as a service provider under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program.  This complements Nuheara’s accreditation as an HSP approved manufacturer for IQbuds2 MAX as an Assisted Listening Device.

This new service provider accreditation means Nuheara can now offer an end-to-end hearing solution through the HSP, with the supply of product, telehealth consultations with trained and qualified Audiologists and the decision on the dispensing of product.  To qualified HSP customers, known as voucher holders, the consultations will be conducted via a scalable telehealth platform based on online audiological services.  The cost of IQbuds2 MAX and the service consultations will be provided free of charge by Nuheara to the voucher holders and then rebated in full by the Australian Government.

This development begins the next stage for Nuheara in offering an end to end hearing health solution for consumers in hearables, and in due course, will also offer valuable support for the Company’s hearing aids.

“In the hearing health industry we know that the product is only one part of the hearing health journey. Service delivery is paramount to an inclusive, educational and empowering client experience,” said Kat Penno, Nuheara Director of Hearing Health.

“This is the primary reason I joined Nuheara and am delighted to build out our service layer, which is a critical component of our customers’ hearing well-being. We are pleased the Australian government has recognised this and registered Nuheara as a service provider under the HSP.”
