Hi, my name is Justin Miller, and I’m the CEO and co-founder of Nuheara. This week is Hearing Awareness Week, culminating World Hearing Day on March 3, which this year has been themed Hear the Future. Today, hearing impairment affects one in six people globally.

As far as the future goes, alarmingly, this is expected to rise to one in four by 2050. Collectively, we all have a responsibility to do not only what we can to prevent hearing loss, but to also ensure that we offer the appropriate services, innovative technology, and new products to those that are already afflicted.

At Nuheara, our highly skilled team are focused on changing the lives of those with hearing loss, that’s essentially what brought us together in the first place. Importantly, we also understand that we have a role in raising awareness of hearing loss and the destigmatization of hearing devices.

We are incredibly proud of our award winning hearing products, but more importantly, the positive global impact we are achieving by improving people’s quality of life. However, the journey has just begun, and the Nuheara team will continue to look for new ways to drive accessibility and affordability for new and improved hearing devices.

Importantly, we also understand that we have a role in raising the awareness of hearing loss and the destigmatization of hearing devices. So here is one way a group of 40 something year olds got out of their comfort zone to promote how much hearing devices and assistance can be a life changing experience by running a marathon. Enjoy our journey.

It’s pretty exciting in terms of what we’ve been able to do, all these guys. You talk to some of them, it’s– we’re not marathon runners. But it was classic to get out there and show everyone that anything is possible.

It was very much taking us all out of our comfort zone.

Especially for me, because I never thought I was gonna be. [CHUCKLES]

Five hours, it got me through it, and I was incredibly proud to be able to wear them. Not only wear them as a brand, but I was wearing them because they were helping me.

World on/off is just brilliant. So whenever someone’s talking to you, you hear them. But then, if you really want to concentrate, just touch the button. Done.

How well that means in hearing aids, it’s going to change the world. I’m proud that our company has actually started.
