In this video, we’ll review focus an app feature for boost that allows you to hear the person in front of you much more clearly, especially in noisy places. Focus uses audio been forming technology to suppress sound around and behind you, and boosts sounds directly in front of you, making conversations much easier. Focus works best after you have completed your ear ID hearing assessment, so make sure to do that first.

It’s easy to switch focus on and off via the app on your phone or by tapping the buds themselves. To get started, make sure the world volume is in on mode. The app defaults to restaurant mode. If you click on the menu bars, it will open a screen where you can choose to turn focus off in this location. The default for all other locations is off. So if you want to turn focus on in other locations, you have two options.

First, choose the location you want from the home screen, such as office. Then click the menu icon. If you want to be able to turn Focus on and off by tapping the earbuds, click on the tap touch icon in the bottom menu of the home screen. From there, select right long tap at the bottom. Select Focus On Off at the bottom of the list.

Now, without using your phone, you can simply press and hold your right ear bud for a couple of seconds to turn Focus on or off in any location. Note that Focus works best if the person you want to hear is directly in front of you, and the loudest noise is behind you. We do not recommend using Focus outdoors in windy conditions, or in situations where full peripheral awareness is needed, such as driving or cycling. Thanks for watching.
